Moray Buses Last Choice for Locals?

Is this down to careless managers or carefree drivers?

With prices on the rise, how can the bus station justify the tardiness of their vehicles? The people needing or relying on the transport available, arriving only to find delay or cancellation impeach ingredients work or adjoining services.

Although only mentioned recently the buses have been in a down spiral for months going on years. From missing people out when late and not stopping to not turning up at all. On countless occasions, the bus has failed to pull through.

You hurry for a bus and what do you get? Sore legs standing and waiting.

With many people relying on their services why is there no emphasis on their schedules to be on time?

With all the rage it is not always there fault. Many times when on the buses with the baggage areas below and the steps, it can take them up to 25 minutes to help a wheelchaired passenger on. Perhaps they are out of practice or perhaps it is the old machinery installed in the bus.

As for the price of tickets going up once more, catching a few off guard. Perhaps this is for repairs and new issues that have arisen from their buses many shortcomings and mechanical failures.

Why should don't they get new buses? All they ever do is breakdown? Or do they just use that as an excuse?

Not much is known whether buses breakdown or late once someone abandons hope of it ever coming, all that many do know is this is a recurring problem. Not just with the Lossiemouth bus but also with some of the others including the Dufftown bus.

On the 28th of April, a memorable date to some along with many tourists waiting to use the bus.
Where many people who could get a lift somewhere else gave up after close to 40 minutes waiting.
With many people looking for alternative transport will the buses have fewer customers and fares in the coming future?

There is a probability with so many relying on the transport for work, it is unlikely that all or many will be able to get alternative transport to guarantee to get them to work on time.

More information and Updates will be uploaded later.

Moray bus timetabes have been updated and now some routes have changed some others disappearing. This has negatives and positives as it seems that the buses are more on time then late since the change but more time will have to be given to see if there is a positive correlation. The negative is that some routes that were vital for some are now no longer available, but if there is no money to run them then, they need to make cuts somewhere.

Why Do We Have To Have A Food Bank?

Article by Jane Stone Food; is it something we take for granted, something we expect to have because of it being vital to living? I'm sure a lot of people remember the 'saying waste not want not' or 'children in poor countries would love to have a small portion of what you have, many of them don't even get that much'.                                                                    Picture from Moray FoodBank Facebook Page But we are missing what should be a problem being dealt with; that people from our country, one of the richest in the world has people homeless and hungry on our streets, some living in homes with no spare income for food. The food banks were introduced to help solve this problem; but surely the Food Bank should be a short term fix, helping people temporarily until they are able to supp...

Relocation!

Helston, a town of many hills that knacker the knees and leave you getting fitter as you walk up the high street. The weather, a balmy 20+ degrees with the occasional torrential rain intermittently breaking up your day. The streets, for those that know Skyrim, have elegant water features that remind the young eye of Whiterun where the water is as crystal clear as it is here. The sound is as hypnotic as the stars, the sound provoking one of two normal reactions, one being relaxation and the other... The Echo Observer has moved further a field, now down in Cornwall. Solely run by one, yours truly  (me) I will be covering as much as possible, from comparing eateries in this town or the next one over to covering local events. Some posts will be on food, (with me drawing on my years of eating and my appreciation of good food) to the people here and what they do to keep this community in such high and friendly spirits.

Wetherspoons; Consistency is More Then an Issue.

*                                          Pictures were taken 5 minutes into each meal From this  1 Week ago The chips cut and beautifully fluffy with a crisp outer shell. The peas, tasted like peas; sweet and green. The Scampi was crisp on the outside and lovely and moist on the inside, the taste on point with what you would expect. Having said that, the dessert was quite bad. The same desert, Chocolate Sundae was burnt and was inedible. To This  Today  Peas in picture 2 were not eaten (swallowed) and were pushed to the side with the scampi. There is a major difference in size of portions which might be equated to different chefs, or by the amount of people dining at this 'highly' recommended restaurant. Not sure where the high standards went but they are far, far away from the meals (yes plural) that were served . From the throw in the o...
